Maya sacred fire fund
"We need to restructure reality, both the individual and the shared. The ancestral wisdom of Maya Grandfathers and Grandmothers gives us techniques and tools to change this reality..."
-Don Carlos Barrios

Concerning the above quote by Maya Priest and spiritual guide Carlos Barrios, a main technique to transform reality, that is found in every indigenous culture the world-over is the fire ceremony. The Maya sacred fire ceremony is over 12,500 years old.
This inspiring project keeps the sacred Maya fires burning. The request for support came from Maya spiritual elders that Llyn Cedar Roberts works closely with on annual Guatemala trips, and for whom OMEC has fulfilled Indigenous Projects.
Simply stated - OMEC sends funds to Maya spiritual guides residing in three distinct highland locales in Guatemala. The funds supplement the purchase of supplies needed to conduct traditional Maya fire ceremonies.
The Maya priests and priestesses enact fire ceremony to end human suffering and to transform the consciousness and actions of people - for humans to live in harmony with each other and our Mother Earth.
It is important now more than ever, to keep the Maya sacred fires burning. Spiritual guides otherwise draw from resources needed for daily life essentials to purchase their fire ceremony supplies. The Maya send videos and photos from their ceremonies. See the beautiful photos, below.
